Biography

Dorna Kheirabadi is a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Chronic Pain and Fatigue Research Center at the University of Michigan. She completed her M.D training at Isfahan University of Medical Sciences and graduated as a general physician. During this time, her research focused on assessing the analgesic, antidepressant and anti-suicidal effects of the N-Methyl-D aspartate receptor antagonist called Ketamine in various routes of administration and also studying the prophylactic pain relief and opioid sparing effects of drugs like pregabalin and gabapentin for postoperative pain. She will be working with our team on various projects. Her interests include studying the impact of adverse childhood events in the trajectory of widespread pain development and trends in opioid prescription and consumption patterns in perioperative setting during pre and post COVID-19 pandemic time.
