Biography

Julia earned a Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience as well as a Bachelor of Science in Human Biology from Michigan State University. After graduating from MSU, she began working as a Research Coordinator at Wayne State University’s THINK Lab where she studied the endocannabinoid system and the impact of prenatal cannabis exposure on brain structure. Julia is a current PhD student in the Neuroscience Graduate Program at the University of Michigan where she is being co-mentored by Drs. Steven Harte and Chelsea Kaplan. Her graduate research centers around cannabinoids and neuroimaging as well as risk factors for chronic pain conditions. In her free time, she loves to travel, spend time outdoors (hiking and cycling), and play with her cat.
