Biography
Dr. Montoya received her medical degree from Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Marcos in Lima, Peru. She completed her Internal Medicine Residency and was a Chief Medical Resident at Pinnacle Health System in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. Dr. Montoya completed a Geriatric Medicine Fellowship at the U-M Geriatrics Center. She received her public health degree from the University of Michigan School of Public Health. She is board-certified in Internal Medicine, Geriatric Medicine, and Hospice and Palliative Medicine. She obtained her medical director certification from the American Board of Post-Acute and Long-Term Care Medicine. Her clinical interests include delirium and dementia, management of chronic medical problems in older adults, and infection control in nursing homes.
