Dr. Francesca Williamson's LHS in equity and justice work spotlighted in multiple publications

Congratulations to Assistant Professor in the Department of Learning Health Sciences (DLHS), Francesca A. Williamson, PhD for the spotlighting of her LHS in equity and justice work which appeared in various publications.

Dr. Williamson was recently published in the Teaching and Learning in Medicine journal, one of the medical education profession’s top research journals. Her article in the journal’s recent issue is, “Leveraging Resident-As-Teacher Training for Health Equity Education: A Transformative Approach.”

Dr. Williamson and co-author colleagues described resident teachers' critical role in medical education and how their support can lend to the broader efforts of advancing “anti-racism and health equity in medicine.”

Indiana University Medical School Health Equity Advancing through Learning Health Systems Research (HEAL-R) Collaborative's March newsletter recently published a feature on Dr. Williamson's use case project about interaction-focused Learning Health Systems. HEAL-R works to bring equity research to healthcare delivery.
