Biography
A. Andres Capizzano, MD, MSc. is a Professor of Neuroradiology at the University of Michigan, who specializes in brain imaging. He attended medical school and Radiology residency in his hometown of Buenos Aires, Argentina. Dr. Capizzano trained as a postdoctoral fellow with Dr. Michael Weiner’s group at UCSF, where he learned neurological applications of MR spectroscopy. Later, he did research in psychiatric imaging at the University of Iowa, where he later completed a 2-year Neuroradiology fellowship. He completed a 4-year teaching career at the University of Buenos Aires and a master’s degree in translational biomedicine at the University of Iowa. The focus of Dr. Capizzano’s publications is the limbic lobe of the human brain and its involvement in dementia, epilepsy, and aging.
