Update in Medical and Surgical Retinal Diseases

This symposium will provide timely clinical updates on the medical and surgical treatment of a broad spectrum of common retinal diseases. Speakers with diverse subspecialty expertise will discuss new developments in our understanding of the pathogenesis and treatment of postinjection endophthalmitis, uveitis syndromes, diabetic retinopathy, macular telangiectasia, retinal vascular diseases, dry age-related macular degeneration, inherited retinal degenerations and pediatric retinal diseases. Retina surgeons will provide updates and share pearls on the surgical management of retinal detachment, macular disorders, posteriorly dislocated intraocular lenses, and pediatric retinal conditions. The audience will also learn what is new in retinal imaging and diagnostics as well as stem cell therapies for retinal diseases. The conference will include ample time for panel discussions of questions from the audience.

Application will be submitted for AMA PRA Category 1 continuing medical education credits.
