Welcome Our 2024-2025 Fellows

We welcome Drs.Tehilah Meged-Book, Shabaz Nisar, Vincent Salvador, and Hunter White to the Geriatric Fellowship and Dr. Christopher Schimmoeller to our Geriatric/Hospice and Palliative Medicine Fellowship.

Geriatric Fellowship

Dr. Meged-Book graduated from Ruth and Bruce Rappaport Faculty of Medicine, Technion Israel Institute of Technology SOM in 2017 and is currently completing her IM residency at Soroka Medical Center in Yerucham, Israel.  She has a been working as an internal medicine and diabetes consultant in the community clinic.

Dr. Nisar graduated from American University of the Caribbean in 2011 and completed his Family Medicine Residency at St. Mary’s Mercy Hospital in Livonia in 2015. He is interested in heart failure care in elderly, frailty assessment and rehabilitation, primary/secondary prevention of CVD outpatient practice and research opportunities. He is currently a physician at Veteran’s Affairs in Indiana

Dr. Salvador received his medical degree from the University of Philippines Manila College of Medicine as a well an MPH from Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. He completed his IM residency from Icahn SOM at Mt. Sinai in New York and a Comprehensive Hypertension Fellowship at Chicago Medicine. He has an interest in cardiology as well as complex care.

Dr. White completed medical school at Alabama College of Osteopathic Medicine In May 2021 and is currently completing his IM residency at the Tahlequah Medical Group (TMG)/ Osteopathic Medical Education Consortium of Oklahoma (OMECO). Dr. White has an interest in cardiology in older adults as well as various complex qualities that are essential in geriatric care.

Geriatric/Hospice-Palliative Medicine Fellowship – First Year

Dr. Schimmoeller graduated from Marian University of Osteopathic Medicine in 2021 and is currently completing his IM residency at Virginia Tech Carilion. He expressed interest in dementia research and Center for Healthy Aging. Dr. Schimmoeller was involved in teaching roles in medical school (OMM teaching assistant) and in residency (Learning Environment Advocacy Committee).
