The UMMS Department of Dermatology is pleased to welcome Dr. Kaushal K. Verma, MD, Professor and Chair of Dermatology and Venereology at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi, a longtime institutional partner of UMMS. This year, Dr. Verma was also appointed Dean of Research at AIIMS. As part of a daylong visit to the Michigan Medicine campus, Dr. Verma will be giving a lecture, "Management of STIs in India." His research has largely focused on allergic disorders (contact dermatitis / urticaria), HIV/AIDS, infectious diseases, cutaneous lymphomas, and lasers. He is currently the Regional Chair of the International Union against Sexually Transmitted Infections- Asia Pacific (IUSTI-AP) region.
