About Sonia: I moved from California 26 years ago to Missouri for a job opportunity that later transferred my family to Michigan. I have two lovely children and one fabulous grandson.

 

One of Sonia’s Passions Outside of Work: My passion is competitive volleyball. I enjoy it because it enables me to travel and compete at a high level against my friends and peers.

 

One of Sonia's Favorite Quotes/Books/Poems/Movies/Songs: Favorite song title - I Love You performed by Afatia. My uncle wrote and produced this song and would sing it at family get togethers. It brings back very fond and loving memories. Coming from a Hawaiian background, many of us have danced to this song.

 

One of Sonia's Favorite Place in Michigan: The Island, aka Mackinac Island. It is my absolute favorite place to go in Michigan. It is so peaceful there and calming. To listen to the water, the horses, the birds, you can just hear everything better there. The best steak I ever did eat was at the Pink Pony Restaurant on the Island. Highly recommend it. I can’t wait to take my nieces there and share the experience with them.
