Terrance Haanen (Narla Lab) Receives the Eleanor Lewis Award

The award will provide a full year of stipend, candidacy tuition, grad care coverage and funds for research supplies. Dr. Eleanor Lewis’ passionate commitment to civil rights and social justice issues influenced her personal and career decisions for her entire life. The University of Michigan received generous bequests from Ms. Lewis’ estate; the first will support the Benivegna Ovarian Cancer Research Fund, and the second will support a Rackham Graduate School doctoral student whose research focuses on gynecological cancers.
