Paola Isabel Medina-Cabrera was born and raised in Yabucoa, Puerto Rico. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Natural Science with a major in Microbiology at the University of Puerto Rico at Humacao (UPRH). In 2021, she was part of the Postbac Research Education Program at University of Michigan (UM PREP), where she studied how to manipulate T cell signaling for anti-cancer immune responses in Dr. Adam Courtney’s lab. Currently, she joined the Cancer Biology program working with Dr. Marina Pasca di Magliano and Dr. Benjamin Allen studying pancreatic cancer.
