Biography

Christine Yu is an undergraduate student studying Biopsychology, Cognition, and Neuroscience (BCN) at the University of Michigan on the pre-optometry track. She serves as a Research Assistant for the Chronic Pain and Fatigue Research Center Health Equity Core. As a student at the University of Michigan, Christine is a member of UNICEF and a member of Health Promotion at UM where she is a social services coordinator. Christine first became interested in health equity after she joined UROP under the mentorship of Dr. Rachel Bergmans and learned about health disparities that exist and persist. Prior to joining the CPFRC, Christine has assisted in research projects looking at community impacts of long COVID and social determinants of depression in systemic lupus erythematosus
