Biography
Sia Rajgarhia is a current undergraduate student at the University of Michigan working towards a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology, Health, and Society with goals to become a doctor. She currently works as a Research Assistant for the Chronic Pain and Fatigue Center Health Equity Core. At the University of Michigan, Sia is involved in other research projects as well as serves the Marketing Chair for the Scientistas; a club at the University of Michigan that is focused on empowering women in STEM. Sia first began working with inequity by serving as a co-founder for the East Lansing Project Lit Book Club and has continued to work for the communities around her. She is dedicated to finding avenues to make healthcare more accessible and work on breaking down racist institutions within healthcare, and in the future, be able to provide culturally competent care.
