Dr. Jeffrey Gu is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Division of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery in the Department of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery at the University of Michigan.
Dr. Gu's clinical expertise spans both reconstructive and cosmetic interventions for the face. These include the management of facial paralysis and synkinesis, rhinoplasty, reconstruction of facial defects following skin cancer removal (Mohs surgery), aesthetic procedures for the aging face, scar revision, benign and malignant facial skin lesion removal, and minimally invasive aesthetic procedures (injectable fillers, neurotoxins, and skin resurfacing). He is trained in the full spectrum of facial plastic surgery and treats patients of all ages. He is also a member of the Multidisciplinary Facial Nerve team at Michigan Medicine.
Author of more than 20 peer-reviewed publications, Dr. Gu's research focuses on improving outcomes in the management of facial paralysis, rhinoplasty, and other procedures performed in facial plastic and reconstructive surgery.
