Biography

After her daughter was diagnosed with severe food allergies, Dr. Kittendorf learned first-hand the unique challenges, care, and support needed by families and patients dealing with food allergies. As an Assistant Professor in the Department of Family Medicine at UMHS, she also understands the challenges clinicians have in recognizing and caring for those with food allergies, and understands barriers patients may face.

 Dr. Kittendorf provides primary care for patients in the Ann Arbor area. As a graduate from the University of Michigan LS&A (’97), Medical School (’01), and Family Medicine Residency (’04), Dr. Kittendorf also has a firm commitment to her Alma Mater. She teaches within the University of Michigan Medical School and the Family Medicine residency, with a particular interest in advocacy and health policy. She has previously served on the Board of Directors for the Michigan Academy of Family Physicians, the MAFP Foundation, and is currently on the Board of Directors for the Chelsea-Area Wellness Foundation.
