“Fighting fire with fire: endogenous retroviruses orchestrate the innate immune response.” by Dr. Cedric Feschotte (University of Utah)

We are excited to welcome Dr. Cedric Feschotte from the University of Utah School of Medicine as our keynote speaker. Dr. Feschotte is a world expert on the study of mobile genetic elements and evolutionary biology.  The title of his talk will be, “Fighting fire with fire: endogenous retroviruses orchestrate the innate immune response.”  Dr. Feschotte recently published a paper in Science that highlights this work (Chuong, et al., Science, 2016, PMID: 26941318).
