The Program on Intergroup Relations

Description:

The Program on Intergroup Relations (IGR) is a social justice education program that blends theory and experiential learning to facilitate students' learning about social group identity, social inequality, and intergroup relations. The IGR prepares students to live and work in a diverse world and educates them in making choices that advance equity, justice, and peace.

Rackham Merit Fellowship Connection (RMF Connection) 

Description:

The Rackham Merit Fellowship (RMF) Connection is a program designed for newly admitted recipients of a Rackham Merit Fellowship and Rackham Master’s Award (RMA). It is designed to: Introduce students to resources in Rackham and across the university; Provide professional, academic, and personal development experiences to assist with the first-year transition; and Cultivate community among the RMF cohort.

Wellness Coaching through the University Health Service at Student Life 

Description:

During a wellness coaching session, students can expect to:  Examine personal values and motivation for change; Address stressors from a variety of sources, from adjusting to life on campus to experiences of social injustice, changes in our political environment (e.g., Roe v. Wade) and environmental concerns, etc.; Learn new skills and coping strategies such as time management, mindfulness, moving your body in enjoyable ways, having difficult conversations, and intuitive eating; Set and accomplish goals

Description:

Golden Genetics Network (Barbara Harrison- Sickle cell anemia) 

Description:

The Genetics Opportunities, Learning, Development, and Empowerment Network (GOLDEN) is dedicated to increasing the awareness of genetic counseling among Black students, primarily at Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU). For prospective genetic counselors, GOLDEN also provides mentorship throughout the graduate school application process.

DEI TaskForce

Description:
