Liz received her Master’s Degree in Human Genetics/Genetic Counseling from the University of Michigan in 1996. After spending several years working as a clinical genetic counselor, Liz went on to earn her MBA in Marketing at Northwestern University-Kellogg School of Management.
Liz is a thought leader in delivery of genetic services, having served in influential roles in the genetics field from both clinical and commercial perspectives at organizations like Kaiser Permanente, Johnson & Johnson, Cord Blood Registry, Veracyte, and PWNHealth. She served as the President of the NSGC in 2010, when she led key initiatives like advising the FDA on genetic test regulation and re-branding the association. Liz has a passion for building leaders among genetic counselors; she developed and teaches leadership workshops for genetic counseling students across the nation and co-facilitates the NSGC’s leadership development program.
