The lysosome, an essential organelle for intracellular
material digestion and recycling, regulates intracellular
signal transduction and plays a crucial role in various
diseases, such as cancer, and aging-related conditions. We
study lysosome biogenesis, regulation of its functionality,
and inter-organelle communication. Utilizing yeast, cancer
cell lines, and vertebrate animal models, we aim to unravel
the intricacies of lysosome biology and pave the way for
new insights into disease mechanisms.
