Thalia Newman

PIBS 1st-Year Rotating Ph.D. Student

Biograghy

Thalia grew up in the Seattle area in Washington State, and attended Lafayette College for her undergraduate education. She graduated Magna cum Laude with her Bachelor's of Science in Biology with honors in 2023. While at Lafayette, she worked in the lab of Dr. Robert Kurt, studying TLR signaling cascades in monocytes and macrophages through computational and experimental approaches. She is currently pursuing her graduate education with an interest in autoimmunity.

Outside of lab, Thalia can be found singing as a member of the GradTONES, baking, hiking, painting, and watching women's soccer.
