Research Interest
Non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) is the leading cause
of cancer deaths worldwide. Over 25% of NSCLC cases
display abnormal elevation of NRF2 protein, a
transcription factor that regulates the antioxidant response
pathway. NRF2 pathway overactivity contributes to
increased NSCLC therapy resistance and cancer
progression. NRF2 activates expression of long non-coding
RNAs (lncRNAs). I am interested in understanding how
lncRNAs contribute to NRF2 overactivity in NSCLC by
studying structure, protein-interactions, and impact on
NSCLC progression.
