Why did you choose Michigan's residency program?: For my PGY2, I wanted to "hit-the-ground running" so-to-speak. I felt that being a PGY-1 resident at the University of Michigan had several advantages towards goals aligned with this mindset. Familiarity with the staff and the med use process at Michigan Medicine has given me an opportunity make meaningful contributions as informatics as soon the residency began.
Research Topic: Impact of a QTc Interval-drug Interaction Checking Clinical Decision Support (CDS) Strategy in the Electronic Health Record

Hobbies outside of Pharmacy: Coding, hanging out with my two dogs, and checking out the latest news on space and physics

Advice for future residents: From an informatics and administrative perspective, you will find several opportunities to be engaged in projects and initiatives. As long as you can stay ahead of your core residency responsibilities, you can also become a major contributor to those ad-hoc projects that occur throughout the year as well.
