The KHRI Histology-Pathology Core is funded by an NIDCD P30 grant award and provides histology, pathology, immunocytochemistry, cell biology and molecular biology services to the KHRI and other University of Michigan private investigators doing research on the auditory pathways. There is also a component funded by NIA to provide services to a program project examining age-related hearing loss.
Recharge - University of Michigan
The KHRI Histology-Pathology Core can also provide services to other users at the University of Michigan on a recharge basis.
Recharge - External users
The KHRI Histology-Pathology Core can also provide services to users outside of the University of Michigan. These services include:
- Evaluation of Ototoxicity - Hair Cell Loss from Cytocochleograms and/or Plastic Sections
- Evaluation of Auditory Nerve Changes - Quantitative Assessment of Spiral Ganglon Cells
