Bethany is a Research Technician Intermediate who joined the Prechter team in August 2017. She grew up in Grand Rapids, Michigan and attended the University of Michigan, graduating with a B.S. in Biopsychology, Cognition, and Neuroscience in August 2017. During her time at U-M, she worked as a student manager for Michigan Dining and as a Research Associate in the Kwan Laboratory. Bethany is now working part-time as she starts at U-M to get her Masters of Social Work. She is currently working on the Longitudinal Study of Bipolar Disorder. Before switching to part-time, Bethany was also the lead technician on the PRIORI study and the Integrated Self-Management Apps study. Bethany is a member of the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee for the Department of Psychiatry, and is the lead for DEI Education Subcommittee. After graduating in December 2021, Bethany is hoping to become a child and adolescent therapist while working to improve access to mental health care treatment.
