Gabrielle earned her B.A. in philosophy from the University of Chicago and her M.S.W. with a focus in clinical practice from the University of Michigan. She initially joined the Heinz C. Prechter Bipolar Research Program in September 2017 as a social work intern and currently works as a research area specialist. She has years of both research and clinical practice and plans to return to school to pursue her Ph.D. in a clinical psychology program. Conducting clinically-relevant research and integrating it into an informed, holistic practice are her twin goals. She is particularly interested in how childhood trauma affects the onset and development of mood disorders, as well as using attachment theory as a lens for diagnosis, intervention, and treatment.
