Celebration of the Heinz C. Prechter Bipolar Research Program

On June 13, 2017, the University of Michigan hosted a celebration of the newly named Heinz C. Prechter Bipolar Research Program. Marschall S. Runge, M.D., Ph.D., Dean, University of Michigan Medical School; Executive Vice President for Medical Affairs; and CEO for Michigan Medicine addressed the crowd at a reception. He thanked Wally Prechter and the Prechter family for their unwavering dedication to the bipolar disorder research enterprise at U-M. The Prechter family had recently made a new gift commitment of up to $5 million to support the endowment of the Longitudinal Study of Bipolar Disorder, the Prechter Program’s flagship study.

The research team would like to thank the Prechter family for their support through the years and their dedication to our mission!
