Brianna Preiser to pursue Clinical Psychology Ph.D. at the University of Nevada

Brianna Preiser, the lead research technician for the Prechter bipolar research team, recently accepted an offer of admission from the Clinical Psychology Ph.D. Program at the University of Nevada, Reno. She was also awarded the Graduate Dean’s Fellowship, a $35,000 stipend and tuition waiver. This one-year fellowship will allow Brianna to devote additional time to involvement in research projects in her first year.

During her two years with the Prechter Bipolar Research Team, Brianna has dedicated her time to recruitment and coordination of a multitude of studies. In addition to her research associate responsibilities, Brianna has also acted in an intermediate role managing the workflow of the lab and delegation of tasks to research associates and many students.

Brianna’s research focus in graduate school will be on the identification of risk and resilience factors and interventions to foster resilience within individuals, families, and communities. Her long-term career goal is to work in an academic setting engaging in scholarship and research.

“I feel incredibly fortunate to have been a part of the Prechter Bipolar Research Team. The investigators, research staff, and participants have shaped me and helped me to grow both professionally and personally. I will carry with me all of the lessons and experiences this program has given me. Thank you all.”  –Brianna Preiser
