Biography
Dr. Singhal is a board-eligible urologic oncologist who specializes in the management of patients with kidney, prostate, bladder, testis, upper tract urothelial, and penile cancers. He completed his residency training in urology at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, MI, and his research fellowship training in translational science at the University of Michigan. He then completed his clinical urological oncology fellowship at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN. He performs advanced open, endoscopic, laparoscopic, and robotic surgery.
Dr. Singhal’s research interests include the development and implementation of novel, precision-based diagnostics and therapeutics in all genitourinary malignancies. He has a special interest in the integration of genomics into biomarker-driven clinical trials in oncology, with the goal of optimally defining the clinical application of these tests. He has received grant funding for his research from the National Institutes of Health, National Cancer Institute, Prostate Cancer Foundation, Urology Care Foundation, University of Michigan, and industry partners. He has additionally received top honors and awards for his research from the Prostate Cancer Foundation, Urology Care Foundation, American Society of Clinical Oncology, and American Association for Cancer Research. He also serves as peer reviewer for many leading academic journals and is a member of numerous professional societies, including the American Urological Association, Society of Urologic Oncology, SWOG Cancer Research Network, SUO Clinical Trials Consortium, and the American Society of Clinical Oncology.

Clinical Interests: management of complex urologic malignancy, including open, endoscopic, laparoscopic and robotic surgical approaches for treatment of kidney, prostate, bladder, testis and penile cancers.
Research Interests: biomarker-driven randomized controlled trials in genitourinary malignancies, informing their use in rigorous evidence-based manner, improve integration of genomics into randomized clinical trials in oncology, rigorously assess the generalizability of randomized evidence at-large.
