Yooni Blair, MD completed her Urology residency at the University of Michigan. During residency, she gained a wide breadth of exposure to the field of urology, but ultimately, she cultivated an interest in reconstruction. She pursued a Genitourinary Reconstruction, Prosthetics, and Trauma Fellowship at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center with Dr. Allen F. Morey. Her fellowship encompassed a heavy clinical experience in urethral reconstruction for urethral stricture disease, penile implants for erectile dysfunction, anti-incontinence procedures such as slings and artificial urinary sphincters, surgical management of Peyronie's disease, urogenital trauma, ureteral reconstruction, and more. Dr. Blair has had numerous publications and regional/national presentations in the field of genitourinary reconstruction and prosthetics. Much of her clinical interests stem from her goals of improving patients’ quality of life.
Dr. Blair is active with the Society of Genitourinary Reconstructive Surgery and the Sexual Medicine Society of North America. She serves on the American Urologic Association Video Education Committee. Dr. Blair also has a passion for global medicine, having traveled to Peru, Ecuador, the Dominican Republic, Ghana, Honduras, and Rwanda during her training. In addition, Dr. Blair enjoys working as an educator in her role as the Associate Residency Program Director, advancing the robotic curriculum and emphasizing leadership development.
