Marian Joëls, Ph.D. (University Medical Center Groningen, The Netherlands) will present Lifelong Stress: Good or Bad News?  This Inaugural Lectureship honors Dr. Elizabeth Young, former Professor of Psychiatry and Research Professor at the Molecular and Behavioral Neuroscience Institute (MNI's predecessor).

My research focuses on the effects of stress in the brain, from molecule to patient. But I am also the Dean of Medicine. From my background as a scientist, I am motivated to support our scientists and enable them in every possible way. To make sure they have smooth access to state-of-the-art facilities; that we help them to secure funds and optimize their career options; that they can collaborate with the right partners. And all this with the aim to improve the future of health.
