The Department of Urology at Michigan Medicine is dedicated to fostering an inclusive and equitable environment for all members of our community. Our commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) is inextricably tied to our mission of providing the best possible education, training, and patient care. We believe that DEI is crucial to individual and societal success, advancement of the field, and educational excellence.
To create an environment where every member of our community is respected, valued, and heard.
To develop a team that reflects the diversity of the populations we serve.
To advance the field through inclusive research and training.
To broaden our community outreach.
To promote empathetic communication to ensure that all community members feel respected, valued, and heard.
Our DEI committee is composed of providers, trainees, and staff (clinical and administrative) who are dedicated to developing and executing strategic initiatives that focus on topics such as inclusive climate, patient care, and professional development. We welcome new members!
