Prostate Cancer Research As a part of the renowned the U-M Comprehensive Cancer Center, the Urologic Oncology team has a wide range of resources at its disposal to foster class-leading research. This is highlighted by a $6.5 million Specialized Program of Research Excellence grant in prostate cancer, a George M. O'Brien Urology Research Center grant, a PO1 in prostate cancer metastasis to bone, two T32 Urology Training Grants and much more. Bladder Cancer Research There is hope, innovation and support available for those with bladder cancer here at the University of Michigan Rogel Cancer Center. We care for more bladder cancer patients and perform more bladder cancer surgeries than any other healthcare provider in the state. Cancer Survivorship Research Support for urologic oncology patients does not stop once the disease is controlled. The U-M Department of Urology Division of Urologic Oncology is at the forefront of the field of urology in working with cancer survivors to maintain their quality of life after successful cancer treatment. This work includes support for patients, partners and families, as well as cutting edge research in cancer survivorship.
