On Saturday, May 18, members from the Department of Ophthalmology participated in the Youth Summit at the Big House sponsored by the Michigan Medicine Office for Health Equity and Inclusion (OHEI).
The Summit aims to engage middle school students from schools across Southeast Michigan with diverse healthcare teams from Michigan Medicine. This event offers under-represented students in the health sciences a chance to visit the campus and interact with practitioners through hands-on simulations, personal connections, and curated resources, all in preparation for careers in medicine.
