Biography

Dr. Jennifer Swearingen is Clinical Instructor of Dermatology at the University of Michigan Medical School. She is a board-certified dermatologist and provides medical dermatology patient care at the VA Ann Arbor Healthcare System. Dr. Swearingen has interests in skin cancer prevention and treatment, as well as health equity, global dermatology, and medical ethics. 

Dr. Swearingen is a graduate of Southern Illinois University School of Medicine and completed her dermatology residency training at the University of Missouri School of Medicine. Immediately after residency, she taught at Wayne State University for two years prior to transitioning to private practice. She has been in medical dermatology practice in southeast Michigan for over 10 years, most recently at Novi Dermatology.
