Dr. Gudjonsson Receives ASA Research Achievement Award in Psoriasis

Johann E. Gudjonsson, MD, PhD is recipient of the American Skin Association’s 2021 Research Achievement Award in Psoriasis. The ASA’s Research Achievement Awards recognize the achievements of established scientists whose research has greatly advanced discovery in investigative dermatology and cutaneous biology.

Dr. Gudjonsson is the Arthur C. Curtis Professor in Skin Molecular Immunology and Associate Professor of Dermatology at the University of Michigan Medical School. His research group is engaged in pioneering research investigating inflammatory and autoimmune skin diseases, such as psoriasis and cutaneous lupus. Dr. Gudjonsson is also the Frances and Kenneth Eisenberg Emerging Scholar of the Taubman Institute and is director of the U-M Skin Biology & Diseases Resource-based Center, which supports early investigators and fosters interdisciplinary engagement and collaboration in skin research. Congratulations to Dr. Gudjonsson on this outstanding achievement!
