Representatives from the Michigan Medicine Department of Dermatology participated in “Specialty Speed Dating” at the AMEC 2023-SNMA meeting (Annual Medical Education Conference - Student National Medical Association) in Hartford, Connecticut. This annual Michigan Medicine outreach event (formerly known as “SIMFest”) supports opportunities to connect with medical students from backgrounds under-represented in medicine (URM). On April 6th, Drs. Severine Cao, Christopher Bichakjian and Stephen Ansah-Addo and Reinie Thomas (UM Medical Student) met with numerous URM students, to encourage and support their interest in the medical specialty of dermatology.
