Three Senior Residents Receive Heed Fellowship Award

The award provides talented young ophthalmologist with funding for postgraduate studies in ophthalmology. 

Three Kellogg Eye Center senior residents, Jason L. M. Miller, MD, PhD, Tapan Patel, MD, PhD, and Nakul S. Shekhawat, MD, were among the 24 individuals selected by the Heed Ophthalmic Fellowship Foundation to receive a 2019-2020 Heed Fellowship Award. The Award provides talented young ophthalmologist with funding for postgraduate studies in ophthalmology and the ophthalmic sciences. 

Selected through a competitive application process, the appointed individuals receive a Merit Award of $10,000 and are recognized as a Heed Fellow.
