Biography
Hometown: Wenatchee, WA Undergrad: Western Washington University
Career interests: Critical Care, Wilderness Medicine, Procedural Care, and Public Health
Personal interests: My personal interests are mostly those of type-2 fun. I hail from the great Cascade mountains of Washington state where I fancied myself and avid alpine climber, snowboarder, back country skier, ice climber, and casual mountaineer. I enjoyed using my outdoor knowledge and experience to introduce new friends to the wonder of the outdoors. I also enjoy spending time with my family, gravel and mountain biking, automotive work, sampling craft brews, singing terrible (read as professional) karaoke, chasing (more like being chased by) my one-year-old husky on mountain and forest trails, as well as woodworking and building furniture pieces. I hope to one day live out my dream of being a physician in a small mountain town where I can not only play outside, but also make significant contributions to my community. Oh also, my spirit animal is a Platypus and I like piña coladas and gettin' caught in the rain.
Favorite things to do around Ann Arbor: Visit dog parks, ride my gravel and mountain bikes, explore new trails, and try new breweries.
Previous lives: Former Toyota certified auto technician, ski resort employee/bum, rock climbing gym employee and climbing instructor, and Spanish medical interpreter.
