Dr. Klekowski is a first year Pediatric Emergency Medicine fellow. She joined the fellowship after completing her training in Emergency Medicine residency at the University of Michigan/St. Joseph Mercy Hospital. She has an academic interest in Pediatric Emergency Medicine Point of Care Ultrasound (PEMPOCUS) and is simultaneously completing a fellowship in ultrasound. She has a clinical interest in the care of children with critical care needs, bringing breastfeeding support to the bedside, and caring for adolescents. Her residency training in general Emergency Medicine has prepared her to care for all ages Her fellowship research project is focused on Lung Ultrasound in Specialized Pediatric Populations. She is also the PI on a research project investigating why fewer women enter Emergency Medicine residency. She is working with mentors Dr. Allison Cator, Dr. Christopher Fung, Dr. Melissa Skaugset, and Dr. Laura Hopson.
