What made you choose EM as your specialty? I realized emergency care was lacking in Ghana. A number of people were dying minutes to hours after arrival to the hospital due to either the lack of a sense of urgency or the lack of the required skill in managing emergency cases. Specializing in Emergency Medicine has both improved my skills in the management of emergency cases and also helped me to train others.
How can EM help Ghana? It will improve our emergency care which will go a long way to reduce morbidity and mortality in Ghana.
What are your research areas of interest? Stroke, Critical care, and Trauma
