Cardiopulmonary Arrest Training

The cardiopulmonary arrest training focuses on the first steps taken during a cardiac or respiratory arrest. Specific emphasis will be placed on proper CPR technique, ventricular fibrillation, ventricular tachycardia, the use of an automatic external defibrillator (AED) and crash cart familiarization. The participants will work as a team to identify and treat several different scenarios presented using state-of-the-art Mannequin Simulators (SimMan/HPS). This class utilizes AHA recommended algorithms and is excellent practice for certification or a refresher for these skills. NOTE: This is not an ACLS or BLS certification course.

Classes are for UM employees only
