Active Attacker Training in the CSC

Mock Attack Staged by Michigan Medicine Security in Clinical Simulation Center (CSC) Facilities

On a recent mid-May day the rooms and hallways of the CSC Med Sci II were filled with nurses going through an active attacker training scenario.  Because the CSC Med Sci II was purpose-built to replicate the actual patient rooms at both Mott and the UH hospital it is the ideal setting to simulate a security emergency in real time, with the actual equipment and furniture that would be available to staff.  Sim-techs Jayma Bollinger and Jeff Stout were on hand to ensure the environment was properly staged for this pilot training.
