Biography

Lauren Moore is an MS student in the University of Michigan Medical School and Department of Learning Health Sciences pursuing her degree in Health Infrastructures and Learning Systems (HILS). Lauren completed her MSE in Industrial and Operations Engineering at the University of Michigan, and she completed her BS in Industrial and Systems Engineering at the University of Florida. Lauren is currently working as a Translational Informatics Analyst under Dr. Yu-Li Huang at Mayo Clinic's Kern Center for the Science of Health Care Delivery. Her research focus is on optimization methods to create better, more efficient experiences for patients, providers, and staff in healthcare settings. She has worked on scheduling optimization projects and implementing and evaluating clinical decision support tools.

In her free time, Lauren enjoys playing ultimate frisbee with the University of Michigan Flywheel team. She also has a dog (Scooby) that she enjoys going on long walks and hikes with.
