Named for former U-M Regent Sarah Goddard Power, the award from the Academic Women's Caucus "recognizes individuals who have made significant contributions to the betterment of women through their leadership, scholarship, or other ways in their professional life." Moyer’s work to reduce "near-misses" in mothers and babies in sub-Saharan Africa also includes mentoring college students, field workers and post-doctoral researchers.
