Study from Singh on Chronic Kidney Disease App Ratings

The article “Patients’ and Nephrologists’ Evaluation of Patient-Facing Smartphone Apps for CKD” is in the March issue of the Clinical Journal of American Society of Nephrology

The study begins with the premise that "Many aspects of CKD management rely heavily on patient self-care, including medication and dietary adherence, self-monitoring of BP, and daily physical activity. Growing evidence suggests that incorporating smartphone-based applications can support self-care in CKD and chronic disease more generally."  It then goes on to evaluate how existing apps were rated by not only patients but also physicians.
