HILS Students Get the Grants

This summer eight Health and Infrastructure & Learning Systems (HILS) students received grants from Rackham as well as other sources.

The HILS graduate program is growing in size and visibility around campus and beyond.  The students and their awards are listed below.  

  1. Stephanie Hall, 2nd year PhD Student, was awarded a Rackham Professional Development Grant.  Stephanie also received Margaret Dow Towsley Scholarship from CEW+
  2. Roshan Paudel, 2nd year PhD Student, was awarded a Rackham Professional Development Grant.  Roshan is also a second year Rackham Merit Fellow.
  3. Brinda Gokul, 1st year MS Student, was awarded a Rackham Conference Travel Grant.
  4. Nik Koscielniak, 4th year PhD Candidate, was awarded a Rackham Conference Travel Grant. He also received a HILS Conference Travel Award.
  5. Oliver Gadabu, 4th year PhD Candidate, was awarded a Rackham Graduate Student Research Grant. He also received a HILS Conference Travel Award.
  6. Elliott Brannon, 3rd year PhD Student, was awarded a Rackham Professional Development Grant.
  7. Brianna Osorio, 1st year PhD student, was awarded a Rackham Merit Fellowship.
  8. Gracie Trinidad, 4th year PhD student received a HILS Conference Travel Award.

Also, Rama Mwenesi, 3rd year Phd Student, received a one-year membership for AAAS through the AAAS/Science Program for Excellence in Science.
