Investigator Award Goes to Singh Project

The project to identify and reduce postpartum hemorrhage received 2019 Precision Health Investigators Award this November

Karandeep Singh, MD, MMSc, will be working with Thomas Klumpner, MD to use a machine learning model in order to create an early warning system for postpartum hemorrhage, a leading cause of maternal mortality.  Their project, “Developing an Early Warning System for Treatment of Postpartum Hemorrhage Using Time-Series Machine Learning Models” is one of seven to receive $300,000 in funding over two years in order to apply Precision Health methods to a medical problem.
