On September 7th DLHS' associate professor and former associate dean for medical student education at the Medical School, Rajesh Mangrulkar, was appointed for a five-year directorship of the Center for Interprofessional Education (IPE). Encouraging collaboration in health care is the central mission of the Center for IPE which works to foster learning across the various schools at University of Michigan involved in the education of health care professionals. Mangrulkar will be involved in the annual Health Professions Education Day put on by DLHS with co-sponsors Center for IPE, Center for Research on Learning and Teaching as well as the Office of Academic Innovation.
