Staff and patients from PM&R took part in the University of Michigan Athletic Department's annual Mock Rock where U-MAISE, the adaptive sports program created by PM&R, was the recipient of the proceeds from the this year's event.

The Department of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (PM&R) honored Austin Shepherd last week for his work bringing Braille books to Michigan Medicine patients and family members.
At the department-wide meeting on April 24 th we awarded the Tom Lucas TRAIL Blazer Awards: one to recognize a faculty member, one to recognize a non-clinical staff member, and the other to recognize a clinical staff member.
The Michigan Medicine Stroke Rehabilitation Program recently underwent Joint Commission survey, and the surveyor verified the tremendous work that our inpatient rehabilitation team has done to create a high-quality program in evidence-based stroke rehabilitation. Our program has now been officially certified with no citations!
