Biography

Dr. Carr graduated from the Brody School of Medicine at East Carolina University.  He completed his residency in General Surgery at the University of Michigan, spending two years of dedicated research time in the ECLS Laboratory studying advanced therapies for cardiorespiratory failure in children.

After his fellowship in Pediatric Surgical Critical Care, he will train as a Pediatric Surgery Fellow at the Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto, Ontario. He is passionate about providing excellent surgical care to all children, with a special interest in neonatal surgical critical care.

Additional Titles or roles within the Department of Surgery:

  • Dr. Carr serves as an Administrative Chief in the Pediatric Surgical Critical Care program and a liaison for the Virtual Interview and Engagement working group.
